Tab for Independent Servers

You can manage independent servers in the administration program; it contains functions for administration of licenses, projects and the model server.

Purpose

You can manage repository licenses, projects and model servers in the Standalone Servers tab.

Prerequisites

You require administrator rights as a license server administrator or repository administrator of a model server for most server administration functions.

Administrator rights are only assigned via appropriate user management rules for single sign-on repositories. The tool tips for the commands describe which rights or rules are required.

Call

Select the Standalone Servers tab in the administration program.

Structure

Server administration consists of the ribbon, workspace and status bar with specifications about the series number and main license server.

Ribbon

The ribbon contains the following ribbon tabs for the Standalone Servers tab:

  • View

You can find the commands for synchronizing the view, displaying the logical or physical structure, model versions, information and editing properties here.

  • License

You can find commands for logging-in to and out of the main license server as an administrator and for managing projects here.

  • Model

You can find commands for managing repositories, model servers and models here. You can also open the Model Editor and Configuration Editor for a selected model and create model versions.

Standalone Servers Tab

Server Tree and Filter

There is a filter above the server tree which allows you to limit the display in the server tree to certain projects, model server and models.

This tab displays the server tree with its hierarchical structure of license and model servers as well as the relevant models. It always displays the main license server and, if applicable, project license servers for internal and external projects and model servers under the license server with the same Innovator version.

The models contained in the repository are displayed respectively for the model server.

You can choose between the logical structure which the models are displayed in sorted by license server and the physical structure which the license servers appear in and model server beneath their computer. Only running license servers are displayed in the physical structure.

The running main or project license server that acts as the license server in the environment (INOHOST) is indicated by a green triangle ().

You can log-in and log-out as repository administrator for a model server on a non-single sign-on repository.

You can open the Model Editor or Configuration Editor for a selected model.

Model servers from other Innovator versions are also shown when you log-in a license server administrator.

You can only manage repositories of a license server of the version Innovator 16.0.
