Renaming a Model
The administrator can rename an independent model. However, existing references to elements of this model will no longer work once the name has been changed.
Prerequisites
You must be logged-in as administrator for the independent repository to be able to rename a model in the Administration Program.
Context
You can rename models in independent repositories.
Attention
Existing references to elements of this model no longer work once you have changed the name!
Interface settings other users have made for the model no longer exist after a model is renamed.
Renaming a model might have consequences for rule-based logins.
You can also rename independent models in the Administrative Tasks backstage view.
How to proceed
-
Select the model you want to rename in the repository which you are logged-in as an administrator for or that you have a model server rule for under single sign-on.
-
Select Model>Manage>Rename (F2).
The dialog of the same name appears.
-
Enter the new name for the model in the Name field.
-
If applicable, enter the administrator password assigned for the model in the Model Password field. No password is required if you use single sign-on.
-
Confirm the name change with OK.
The model appears with the new name in the server tree.
