Data Updates in the Repository
The Innovator security concept consists of manual and automatic repository updates. Upon creation of an update, all changes to the repository are successively stored in a telegram model; this file and the stored repository enable a repository that has crashed to be restored.
Setting Time for Automatic Update
Prerequisites
A model server must be selected in the Standalone Servers tab.
You require a model server rule.
Context
You can define a time interval or several points in time for updating each repository.
Note
Make sure that not all repositories are backed-up at the same time in order not to overload the system as this can lead to drastically increased response times.
How to proceed
-
Select the model server with the repository that you wish to update in the server tree.
-
Select View>View>Edit Properties.
-
Expand the Update section.
-
If you want to determine a time interval for the update, enter a positive number in the input field Interval (min); the number must range between 1 and 1440 (corresponds to 24 hours). You can leave the field blank if you do not want to implement any regular updates.
-
If you want to determine a fixed time for the update, enter the time in the format HHMM (hours and minutes) in the input field Times. You can specify several different times by separating the entries using commas (e.g., 0900 1200, 1500, 1800). You can leave the field blank if you do not want to implement any updates at fixed times.
Manually Updating Repository Data
Context
You can update repositories at any time. It is a particularly good idea to do so after a time-consuming action. The repository is automatically updated once models have been created.
The current repository data is written to the repository's corresponding files. The previous state of these files is saved as a backup copy.
How to proceed
-
Select the model server with the repository that you wish to update in the server tree.
-
Select Model>Model Server>Update.
The repository data is stored and the previous state is updated as a copy.
