Tab for Managed Models

Models are managed in the administration program and shows e.g. status and log file information for model versions. You can edit certain properties and create and restore model version back-ups.

Purpose

You can use the Managed Models tab for managing model versions from managed models which are provided via agents. Managed models are always run in single sign-on mode.

If a model version with the same Innovator version as the administration program is selected in the Managed Models tab, information about the model version appears in the right-hand information area or some of the properties are offered for editing. You can switch between these two views. You can only edit properties if you have the appropriate rights to do so.

The tool tip shows you which commands require the Manage Environment right.

Prerequisites

Model version administration login is required for most information and editing properties.

You require the Manage Environment right (environment right ) to close all model versions, back-up, restore and delete model versions.

Call

Select the Managed Models tab in the administration program.

Structure

Managed Models consists of the ribbon, workspace and status bar with specifications about the series number and main license server.

Ribbon

The ribbon contains the following ribbon tabs for the Managed Models tab:

  • View

You can find the commands for synchronizing the view, displaying the logical or physical structure, of inactive versions and backups for information and editing properties here.

  • Model

You can find commands for managing model versions here. You can open the Model Editor and Configuration Editor for a selected model version.

All operations run via the agent which the selected model version is operated on.

The license administrator can also switch between different projects of the same version here.

  • Recovery

You can find commands for restoring model versions here.

Version Tree and Filter

There is a filter above the version tree which allows you to limit the display in the version tree to certain agents, models and versions.

The version tree is displayed in the tab; it contains the structure of the model versions, which is alphabetical. The model versions are always assigned to the corresponding model node, which is only used to structure the model versions.

You can choose between the logical structure which all models in a single tree are displayed in and the physical structure which the models are sorted in beneath their agent.

Model versions of other agents are displayed in gray font but with their individual model icon. These are not taken into account by the Model>Model Version>Stop All command.

Use the Expand Node Completely context command for any subtree and the Collapse All for the topmost level to get a better overview.
