Repairing Model Versions
Support occurs to help you restore a model version's model server which has unexpectedly stopped and does not start again.
Prerequisites
The Recovery ribbon is only available for users with the Manage Environment right.
Damaged models have a yellow warning triangle .
Context
Repairing a Damaged Model Version
If the model server crashes, a node with repair information is created below the damaged model in the server tree.
Send the repair information in the first repair information node to MID support in the following cases:
- You can restore the model version but think it crashed due to a program error or know this to be the case and can recreate this error
- Model version cannot be restored
Note
You can reset a model version to the respective secure status from an explicit back-up.
How to proceed
-
Select the damaged model and select Recovery>Repository>Recover.
The model contains a
repair icon. When repairs have been carried out, then the icon disappears and you can restart the model.
-
If you suspect a program error as the cause, if the model could not be repaired or if the model closes again, then select the first repair information node and select Recovery>Repository>Download Repair Data.
The default dialog for saving a file opens and you can save the repair information.
-
Confirm the dialog with OK.
The repair information is saved as a Zip file.
-
Please contact MID support. Send us the repair information.
-
Once you have received the fixed model from MID support, select the damaged model and select Recovery>Repository>Replace With Repaired Version.
A default dialog opens to select the zipped repair information.
-
Confirm the dialog with OK.
The damaged model is replaced by the fixed version. You can start it again as normal.
-
Delete the repair information node in the tree. You no longer need it.
