Wizard for New Managed Model
The wizard for new managed models takes you through the processes of creating a new managed Innovator model in a first model version step-by-step.
Purpose
This wizard takes you through the process of creating a managed model in a first version step-by-step. You can choose whether the model version is created from a template, a model fragment saved in a file or by copying another active model.
Call

Model Editor: Jump to the backstage view New and select the area. Managed Model Click right on the Model Wizard button.

Administration Program: Select the Model>Create>New Model command in the Managed Models tab.

The top section shows which step you are currently in; from the second step onwards it also has an active back button you can click on to go back a step.
The middle section shows you the input and selection options; making a selection will jump you directly to the next step if applicable.
The bottom section contains the [Next] (if the selection does not automatically jump to the next step) and [Abort] buttons.
Calling the Model Wizard
Prerequisites
A managed model can only be created in a project directory that is monitored by an active agent.
When creating a managed model in its first version, the version rules must allow you to create a model with the name you require and start the model version.
You require a login rule which applies to the name of the first model version to be able to log-in.
Context
You want to create a new managed model in its first model version.
How to proceed

Model Editor:

Jump to the New backstage view.

Select the Managed Model area.

Click right on the Model Wizard button.
The New Model Wizard appears and leads you through the few steps to create your new model.

Administration Program:

Select the Model>Create>New Model command from the Managed Models tab.
The New Model Wizard appears and guides you through the process for creating your new model in just a few steps.

There are many ways to create a new element:
- Create a new model from a model template.
- Create a new model as a copy of an existing model.
- Create a new model from a model fragment from a saved file that can be found in the file system.
