Elements and User Interfaces (Reference)
This section of the Help describes individual parts of the Innovator user interface.
The Innovator X Generation GUI is made up of the following elements:
- System menu and toolbar for quick access in the title bar (1),
- Status bar (2)
- Ribbon including application menu (3)
The application menu contains the New, Login and Logout commands as well as other commands based on the models. - Workspace
The workspace contains a start page upon program start. A tab is added for every model that is logged-in to; it is removed once the model is logged-out of. This tab shows the workspace for a single model.
A model's tab is split into different window areas:- The model content area (5) is used as a table of contents for this model.
- The central document area (4) displays diagrams, tables or specifications from this model.
- Tool windows (6-9) provide specific structures and functions for navigating in the model, getting information about the model and its elements and so that you can work with the model elements.
- Dialog boxes and wizards are used to obtain certain inputs or verifications from the user.
