Tool Window Verification Results

Purpose

Show verify messages.

Prerequisite

The window appears when a verification routine is called for the model, i.e. if focus is not on a document; the window is initially shown along with the result region. It is a good idea to split the window if e.g the list is really long.

Verification routines appear in the Review menu tab.

Structure

The name of the verification routine last used and the number of messages is shown at the top.

The Repeat tab carries out the verification routine on the original selection again. This allows you to process the messages successively.

Messages are shown as a multi-level tab.

Element types are on the left. If an element type is selected, its instances are shown, i.e. concrete model elements.

Messages are shown for each instance.

Using Messages

The instance is jumped to in the Model Structure if you select it. If this is a diagram, you can double-click on it to open it; this will then shown the detailed messages in the diagram.
