Administrative Contents Tool Window View

Purpose

The Administrative Contents tool window view allows the model administrator to quickly access applications configuration, database connections and translations (language containers) in all models to e.g. make them available to other models as model fragments.

The model administrator also has management elements that have been taken out of context (e.g. application configurations in all models with an assignment that has removed from the model in the mean time. You can use the usual operations to e.g. repair or delete elements.

Prerequisites

Only application configurations are shown with the Configure privilege.

The view only fully appears when you log-in as model administrator or with temporary administrator rights.

Structure

You can use the drop-down list at the top to access the display structure for application configurations, database connections or translations throughout the various models.

The respective structure of the selected management element is shown below.

The management elements always refer to the current model.

Application configurations are initially shown as fully collapsed; all purposes are directly below them. All purpose nodes can be collapsed or expanded in the context menu.

Operations

• You can set all management elements as bookmarks.

• You can rename, edit and delete application configurations.

• The editor for editing application configuration content can be opened by double-clicking on it.

• You can copy and paste into other models for application configurations and database connections.

• You can export and import as model fragment for application configurations, database connections and translations (language containers).
