Translation File Creation Wizard
The Translation File Creation Wizard takes you through the creation process for a translation file for model elements, configuration or the meta model step-by-step.
Purpose
The Translation File Creation Wizard takes you step-by-step through the necessary steps; you can set the scope and the format of the translation file here.
Call
In the backstage view Manage Languages, click on Export.

The top section shows which step you are currently in; from the second step onwards it also has an active back button you can click on to go back a step.
The middle section shows you the input and selection options; making a selection will jump you directly to the next step if applicable.
The bottom section contains the [Next] (if the selection does not automatically jump to the next step) or Finish and always the [Abort] button.
Step 1 of 7: Select the Scope
You can create a translation file which contains all or partial information from a model at a particular development state. This wizard takes you through the processes of creating a translation file step-by-step.
You can select the translation file as content:

The active document and its content is adopted in the translation file.
Continue with step 5: Select the Languages

Only the model elements which were selected in the application's active window when calling the wizard are added to the translation file.
Once you select a model element, it name is then shown in the wizard. The number is shown if more than one model element is selected.
Continue with step 5: Select the Languages

The model elements that you specify in the next step (regardless of the current selection) by activating the corresponding check boxes are added to the translation file. The selection in the application's active window is ignored.
The name of the first selected package is selected as the name for the translation file.
Continue with step 2: Select a Section of the Model

The model elements linked to the selected elements are adopted in the translation file. You can specify the links to be taken into consideration in the next step. The selection in the application's active window is ignored.
Continue with step 4: Run Search on Selection

The model elements which are determined from a saved search are added to the translation file. You can define the saved search in the next step by activating the corresponding check boxes, regardless of the current selection. The selection in the application's active window is ignored.
Continue with step 3: Select saved query

All the model's model elements are added to the translation file.
Continue with step 5: Select the Languages

The translations for all elements in the configuration are adopted in the translation file.
Continue with step 5: Select the Languages

The translations for all elements in the metamodel are adopted in the translation file.
Continue with step 5: Select the Languages
Step 2 of 7: Select a Section of the Model
If you choose an individual section, then you can add or remove a model element and all its subordinate model elements from the translation file by activating or deactivating the check box.
Step 3 of 7: Select saved query
If you select a saved search, then you can specify a saved search that can be used for determining the model elements for the translation file by activating or deactivating the check box.
You can select a search for all models and/or a user-defined search. You can enter the values at a later stage for any parameters which may exist.
Step 4 of 7: Run Search on Selection
If you select elements related to the current selection, then you can specify which links should be used to determine the model elements for the translation file from the selected elements by selecting an appropriate search (inoref.xml).
Step 5 of 7: Select the Languages
Select the languages you want to export.
The languages which exist in the configuration or meta model appear for selection.
Step 6 of 7: Format and State
Select the file format for the translation file.
Select which translations should be exported to the translation file based on the state of the existing translation. All translations are exported if an element's property has one of the selected states in one of the selected languages.
Step 7 of 7: Ready to Create the Translation file
The wizard for creating a translation file summarizes all decisions made by you before the translation file is created.
You can change these decisions made by pressing the back button to return to the previous steps.
To create the file, click on the Finish button.
The following dialogs may require you to enter parameters necessary for the selected saved search.
A dialog which contains a link to the translation file appears once the translation file is created.
