Managed Models

The Administration Program shows information about the status and resources for managed models and you can set a maximum allotment of RAM and hard disk space here.

Purpose

If a managed model with the same Innovator version as the administration program is selected in the Managed Models tab, then either information about the managed model in the right-hand information area or some properties are offered for editing. You can switch between these two views.

Prerequisites

You require a suitable version rule for your model's name when editing properties of a managed model.

Structure

The information area consists of the following expandable sections and further elements for managed models.

Information View

This view displays properties of the selected model.

  • Status

    The following information is shown as a status for the managed model: Model, Hostname, Directory and Path.

  • Resources

    Enter number of running model versions, back-ups and repair information, as well as RAM and hard disk space currently in use and the allocation assigned.

  • Naming Rules

    Name schema for creating new versions and back-ups.

    Regular verification expression for names and name templates with optional placeholders.

Properties View*

The view enables contingents to be edited for all model versions of the managed model.

  • Quota

    Specify the amount of main memory and disk space that versions of this model may use. Specification in MB These values are verified upon model version start. An empty value means no constraint.

  • Naming Rules

    Set the name schema for creating successor versions and back-ups to make sure all versions and back-ups have a uniform name.

    • Check expression

      Specify regular expressions, which the names of new versions and backups of the model must meet.

      The wizards check that regular verification expressions have been adhered to when a version or back-up is created.

    • Naming proposal

      Specify templates for preallocation of names in the wizards.

      You can use placeholders for date, model, version context and user.

      • Date: $(YYYY), $(YY), $(MM), $(DD)
      • Time: $(hh), $(mm), $(ss)
      • Name of the respective managed model: $(Model.Name)
      • Name of the model version; the subversion, successor version or back-up is created using it: $(Source.Name)
      • "Obvious" user name: $(User.Name)
      • "Technical" user name: $(User.LoginName)

      These placeholders are resolved in the name field for the version in the wizards.

      The name suggestion should satisfy the verification expression so that the suggested name is also valid. The name suggestion can be changed as many times as required in the wizard.

  • Apply button

    Modified properties only take effect when confirmed with the Apply button.

  • Discard button

    Modified properties are reset.
