Model Version New BackupWizard
A backup of the selected model version is created. You can use this backup in read-only mode only.
Purpose
At certain times, you explicitly create model back-ups so that you can revert back to this state at a later stage or to keep a certain model state in a way that protects it from changes.
Prerequisites
- An active model must be selected in the Managed Models tab.
- A version rule is required.
Call
Select Model>Create>New Backup.

At the top, you can see the current step. As of the second step, a "Back" button () is active. You can use this to return to the previous step.
The middle shows the selection and input options.
The bottom contains the Next or Finish buttons and always Abort.

How to proceed

Enter a name for the back-up in the Version Name field.
Restriction
You can set name rules for the back-up name of a managed model. The name must comply with the current name rule.
The version name can also be changed later on.
Click on Next to go to step 2.
Step 2 of 3: Description
How to proceed

Enter a description for the version in the Description field.
Alternatively, you can save the description of the selected model version without changing it.
The description name cannot be changed later on.
Click on Next to go to step 3.
Step 3 of 3: Ready to Create the Backup

Check the settings for creating the back-up.

If everything is correct, click on Finish.
The back-up is created. This may take some time.
The new back-up is selected.
