Ignoring Profile Elements
You can ignore certain imported profile elements - preferably in extension profiles - in order to make them ineffective in the importing profile.
Certain imported profile elements can be flagged as "ignored" in an importing profile. The profile elements in question then behave as if they had not been defined.
You can flag the following profile elements as "ignored" in importing profiles, thus making them ineffective in the importing profile in question:
-
The imported labels and text definitions in the
Stereotypes view.
Standard labels and specification types can be easily replaced by project-specific variants in this way.
-
The imported relationships (constraints for relationship roles) of stereotypes in the
Relationships view
The ignored relationships can relate to the owning assignment, initial and target nodes of directed relationships or the typing.
-
In the
Execution Rights view: the user roles' importing execution rights for the respective menu command.
The ignored execution rights of menu commands for certain roles can concern the create templates, verification routines, engineering actions, or documentation commands.
-
The imported menus and imported menu entries in the
Menus view
In a profile, the menu structure from imported profiles is also displayed for a stereotype. If the imported menus and menu commands are flagged as "ignored", they are hidden in the model editor. Menu commands can be added to the imported menus. Menus with the same name are merged into a single menu in the model editor.
You ignore one or more selected profile elements by selecting Edit>Ignore.
Ignored profile elements are flagged with the icon of the command.
Attention
Ignored profile elements are not available in a subsequent importing profile, either.
