History Table

The history table for selected elements gives information about the changes logged.

Purpose

The history table is used for displaying changes to the selected elements logged in change sets

The logged operations are run in a table. You can group and filter this table.

Prerequisites

Due to your currently used role you have the privilege View Change Logs.

Call

Execution occurs:

  • In a change set's tables using the History context menu command

  • In practically all windows which display a model element, in an element's context menu using History

This opens a document window. The History tab appears.

Structure

Ribbon

The history table is a document window with its own History tab. It is automatically edited if the document window is clicked on.

Content Group

  • (Content toggle command)

    Display changes to the content. This includes adding, removing, and moving content.

  • (Recursive toggle command)

    Switch to recursive search.

  • From (check box with date field)

    Optional definition of the start of the displayed modification time period.

  • To (check box with date field)

    Optional definition of the end of the displayed modification time period.

  • Apply

    Apply the settings for content, recursion and modification time period for the table.

  • Cancel Changes

    Discard settings that have not yet been applied to the table.

Open Group

  • History

    Show the change history of the selected elements. This command requires the privilege 'View Change Logs'.

  • Change Sets

    Show the change sets of the selected entries.

Find Group

  • Find in Table (Ctrl+Shift+F)

    Open an input field for searching in the table.

Export Group

  • Excel

    Write table content to an Excel compatible XML file.

Table Layout Group

  • Adopt as Default

    Adopt table grouping, sorting und column arrangement by default. The default is used when opening further tables.

  • Restore Default

    Change the table layout to the default.

Table Tab

  • Single Selection (History of '{0}')

    Shows the name of the element whose logged changes are being shown for.

  • Multiple selection (History ({0}))

    Shows the number of elements selected.

Header (only for single selection)

The element's name, icon, element type and namespace are shown in the header.

Table

You can group the tables in the area above the column header. Please drag the title into this area to group by columns. To remove the grouping, drag the property back to the table.

Fixed column splitter to the left in the column header to fix the columns to the left edge. Fixed columns are not moved if you click on the horizontal scroll bar

You can constrain what is shown using the filter row below the column header. The list is narrowed to rows which correspond to the filter entered.

  • You can enter a string of characters in the filter field for all columns so that only entries which contain this string are displayed.
  • You can also set time frames as filters in the Modification Date and End Date date columns. Use the "<" and ">" special characters for this, e.g. ">03.05. <17.05." (all entries between 3rd and 17th2025 2025May 2025).

The table consists of the following columns:

  • Change Set

    Name of the change set the logged operation is currently being run in.

  • Comment

    Comment about change set.

  • End Date

    Change set end date.

  • Element Type

    Element type of the created, modified or deleted model element.

    Hide only recommended if one element is selected, as it is always the same.

    Icon and name of the created, modified or deleted model element.

    Hide only recommended if one element is selected, as it is always the same.

  • (Nicht definierte Variable:UIVar_Win.CSDtColContElOwner)

    Namespace of the created, modified or deleted model element.

  • Change

    Differentiations are made between e.g. Created, Modified, Deleted and Relation Added.

  • Property Name

    Name of the property affected by the change.

  • Property Value

    New property value as result of operation.

  • Modification Date

    Time change was made

  • User

    Login name of user who made the change.
