Redefining Stereotypes
Stereotypes can be redefined in importing profiles.
You can implicitly change a stereotype in the importing profile using new attached stereotype properties (or type system options) or explicitly change it using the Edit>Redefine toggle command in order to adjust it in line with your requirements.
Prerequisites for calling:
- The importing profile is locked
- Precisely 1 imported stereotype is selected
The redefining of a stereotype can consist of the following adjustments:
-
Create>Stereotype Property><Type>
You create new attached stereotype properties for an imported stereotype that are then made available by the importing profile.
-
Edit/Properties
All available properties of a stereotype that was either created directly in the current profile or redefined can be edited in the Properties tool window with regard to their visibility and order.
You can therefore hide or change the order of attached stereotype properties that are defined in the imported profile in the Edit/Properties dialog. The importing profile then makes the properties changed in this way available.
- Visibility in dialogs or type system options
- Order in dialogs or type system options
You can use the
button in the Edit/Properties dialog to reset local changes made in the respective tab back to the stereotype's definition in the imported profile. You can tell whether these settings are applicable, as the
button will be grayed. As with all changes, you need to confirm undo by clicking on Apply.
You can explicitly delete a redefinition by deactivating the Edit>Redefine toggle command. This then lists all stereotype properties (and type system options) that would be affected by the deletion.
