Creating Create Templates for Model Elements
You can use create templates to configure defaults for a new model element.
At least one create template needs to be defined to be able to use a stereotype in the model. Create templates are used for configuring defaults when creating a model template. Changes to the template are done using the configuration editor.
As with verification routines and engineering actions, create templates are available in the model editor and in diagrams whose (sub) models have imported the profile using create templates (if applicable, by importing the profile into another profile).
You can use the template's logical name (in the root tab) for the API as it is language-independent.
Localized names are the choice of preference when displaying in language-dependent user interfaces. The template's localized name is displayed according to the model language or the set display language:
- In the configuration editor
In the list of profile elements and
In the Edit/Properties dialog as a description of the root tab, as well as
- in the model editor in the menu
You need to be in the Templates view when creating create templates.
