Using Process Maps

You can use the process map to create overviews of processes.

You can use a process map to create an overview of your base processes. Graphics are shown as value chains in the process map and use directed connections to help you to visualize how your processes fit together.

Processes in the process map are not identical to BPMN processes. Rather, you can link nodes in the process map with various process constructs in the model, e.g. with BPMN processes, BPMN collaborations and UML activities.

Note

The process map is realized using a concept diagram accordingly configured and the process is realized by a concept that is accordingly configured. Concept diagrams and concepts are used in the documentation and Details configuration to show relationships in process maps.

The process map is available in the whiteboard diagram. You can show and hide links to process constructs in the model in the whiteboard.

You can both link existing elements with process nodes using drag-and-drop and refine a process with a new element without having to jump to another diagram or the model tree.
