Note
Spell check first checks the texts entered when it is saved in the active display language.

You may need to update the translations during the course of the project as these texts need to be maintained.

You can also use the web service for translating if the editor is already open. This option allows you to generate an automatic translation or update one, even if the editor is already being used for manual or automatic translation.
-
Save the translated specification with Text>Specification>Save (Ctrl+S).
Translation Using a Web Service
Structure elements and content are retained for the original text when translating specification texts using a web service. You should bear the following points in mind:
-
Retain structure: Text structure (paragraphs, lists, tables etc.) remains unchanged upon translation.
-
Image content: Embedded images within the specification text are retained and are still visible after translation.
-
Translate paragraph by paragraph: The text is translated paragraph by paragraph. Character formatting used at the start of the paragraph is adopted for the entire paragraph. Character formatting which may deviate from this formatting within the paragraph is not automatically changed. It is possible to add this specific formatting manually after translation has been carried out using the Font>Format Painter command.
-
Retain hyperlinks: Hyperlinks to elements of the same model will be retained. The hyperlink text is replaced by a placeholder immediately following translation. Clicking on Save then replaces the placeholder with the translation of the element name in the display language.
-
How further hyperlinks are treated: The following applies for all other types of hyperlink: they are retained if the entire paragraph consists of one single hyperlink. In other cases, (including those at the beginning of the paragraph) hyperlinks are not retained.
