Standard Layout
You can arrange the edges and nodes in a diagram in a standard layout.
General Standard Layout
Prerequisites
A diagram is opened in the Edit Mode (F6).
Context
You can arrange the nodes and edges in a diagram in a standard layout.
How to proceed

Select Design>Arrange>Standard Layout>Standard Layout (Ctrl+F8).
The nodes and edges of the diagram will be arranged according to the standard.

To undo this arrangement, select Undo (Ctrl+Z) from the quick access toolbar.
Arranging DB and ER Diagrams
Prerequisites
Supported diagram types:
- DB diagram
- ER diagram (notation: IDEF1X)
Context
You can arrange the nodes and edges in a diagram in a standard layout. Innovator makes use of the Sugiyama algorithm to do this.
How to proceed

Open a supported diagram.

Select Design>Arrange>Standard Layout>Arrange Diagram.
The nodes and edges of the diagram will be arranged according to the Sugiyama algorithm.

To undo this arrangement, select Undo (Ctrl+Z) from the quick access toolbar.
Arranging Dynamic Viewpoints
Prerequisites
Supported diagram type:

Dynamic Concept Diagram
Context
You can use a certain layout for the best presentation of a viewpoint.

Tree
Arrange diagram content in a tree. This display is suited to hierarchical structures.

Star
Arrange diagram content as an undirected graph. Elements with lots of relationships below each other are moved closer together.

Layer
Arrange diagram content in horizontal layers. This display is suited to displaying interactions between various abstract layers of the model.
How to proceed

Open a supported diagram.

Select Design>Arrange>Standard Layout><Layout>.
The nodes and edges of the diagram will be arranged according to layout selection.
