Editor for ArchiMate® Diagrams
The editor for ArchiMate® diagrams is used to represent relations between business areas from a range of viewpoints.
Purpose
ArchiMate® offers a range of instruments which can be used by enterprise architects to describe, analyze and visualize the relationships between business and IT.
The ArchiMate® 2.0 Standard is an open and independent modeling language for enterprise architecture, which has been developed by "The Open Group".
ArchiMate® diagrams represent relations between business areas from a range of viewpoints.
In order to reduce the complexity of the enterprise architecture, ArchiMate® offers predefined views (called viewpoints). These are used in Innovator to represent the architecture customized for different purposes. Here, a view comprises only the subset of elements and relationships predefined from the respective viewpoint.
Color concept of ArchiMate®
In ArchiMate®, colors represent different pieces of information. The default color scheme categorizes the elements into the respective level of the enterprise architecture.
