A few processes require you to be logged-in as model administrator. You can get temporary administrator rights so you do not have to close the model and reopen it as administrator.
The Administrator Login dialog is only available in the Enterprise edition.
You only need administrator rights to:
Administrator rights may help to access and grant elements in badly-configured models without needing to change roles. It is not a good idea to always have administrator rights as it cancels out the role concept.
Enter the model administrator's password in the Model Administrator Password field.
This dialog appears when you run the Model>Administrative Tasks>Administrator Mode command.
You can also open this dialog by clicking on the user name in the status bar.
Clicking on OK gives you model administrator rights (assuming you entered the correct password).
The words Model Administrator appear in front of your login name in the status bar.
You can now access all model elements, can grant access to model elements in the Properties tool window and all commands are released for your use.
You still have the roles belonging to your original login, i.e. newly-created model elements get access for this role.
It is not a good idea to work as the Model Administrator user as model elements created by the model administrator cannot be accessed by any users.
