Use the Find dialog to search for model elements by their names, specification texts, properties, notes, label values or date and save these under a name. You can use various search options to limit the search and allocation in the result region.

Open the dialog with Start>Browse>Find (Ctrl+F).

On repeated execution of the Find (Ctrl+F) command, the dialog shows the entries for the last search carried out with this dialog. The tab used is restored with the most recent entries.

Find Dialog Tabs

Open the dialog with Start>Browse>Find.

The Find submenu contains commands that open the following tabs:

You can jump between tabs; any settings you may have made are not lost until the dialog is closed. The search does not combine settings in the various tabs.

You can find more entries in the Find submenu if required.

Stored User Searches

Use the Save button to store the current search settings for a tab as a search. This creates a new command in the Start>Browse>Find submenu. This saved search can then be carried out with one simple click.

The saved searches are also available in the selection specification when creating documentation.

Each of these menu items has a context menu.

The Delete from Model command deletes the saved search from the menu. The search is then no longer available in the configuration editor or the selection specification when creating documentation.

The Edit command loads the search parameters in the Find dialog; the search can be modified and saved again here.

The dialog starter in the Start>Browse menu group opens the Manage dialog to customize the Find menu.
