Tool Window View Access Rights

View for the model administrator for setting and withdrawing access and read rights.

Purpose

The Access Rights view enables you to set access and visibility for package levels for user roles. It facilitates rough division of models. This makes it easy to make whole areas visible for those with respective access or hidden.

Prerequisite

The view only appears if you are logged-in as administrator or have temporary administrator rights.

Structure

Buttons for switching between access and read rights, a drop-down list of roles to modify access and read rights for can be found at the top of the window.

Access means that users in the selected role can create, modify and delete elements in this package.

If read rights have been withdrawn, the package and everything below it is hidden, i.e. these elements cannot be seen by the user in the selected role.

Existing rights are checked in both views. If read rights are withdrawn from an element, all subordinate elements also lose their read rights. The nodes are also hidden from the whole view to make it easier to read.

Use

Rights can be set and withdrawn by clicking on the box next to the package. The spacebar switches the state of all selected nodes at the same time. By clicking the mouse with the Ctrl button pressed in the Access view, states of all subordinate packages are also switched.

All changes affect the roles selected above.
