Setting Page Layout for Printing Diagrams
Use the commands in the Page Layout tab to set page breaks.
You define the page layout for a diagram in order to subsequently output it on printer in the Print backstage view. You can jump to this backstage view via the context menu.
The print view is divided into two areas:
- Printable View
- Non-Printable View
The non-printable view is shown as a grayed out area and separated from the printable section by a red dotted line.
You can define page breaks within the printable area; these are shown with a blue dotted line.
Each page to be printed has the page number written on it in the print area.
The line becomes green if it is being edited in the print view.
Once you have finished editing, the pages are recalculated according to the page breaks set.
If a diagram's dimensions are changed when editing the contents, the area difference is cleared with the print view.
If the diagram dimensions are increased, a new page break is inserted if there is enough space.
If a page break is moved into a non-printable area when you are decreasing the size, this is then removed.
The following modification options are available for page breaks:
- Moving Page Breaks
- Adding Page Breaks
- Removing Page Breaks
If a page area exceeds the dimensions of the paper size, the entire diagram is decreased in size accordingly for printing.
Note
You cannot enlarge the print display of a diagram above 100%.
