Verification Results Tool Window

The Verification Results tool window shows model verification results.

Purpose

The representation of missing elements and their verification messages.

Call

The Verification Results tool window appears after running the model verification wizard, after running a verification routine or after running a saved verification.

Open the verification wizard withReview>Verify Model>Verification Wizard.

Verification routines can be called using the Review>Verify Model>Run Verification Routine submenu.

Saved verifications can be called in the submenu for the verification wizard.

Structure

The tool window is initially displayed parallel to the Result Region tool window.

Header

While a verification is being carried out, a progress bar appears at the top along with information on the particular verification currently being run.

After the verification, the name of the last verification run (verification action or verification routine) is displayed in the same location; the number of messages is also displayed on a button for a drop-down list.

To display the number of individual verification messages, click on the {0} Messages button. The verification messages are displayed in groups by message type (error, warning, info).

To restrict the display in the tool window to a particular verification message, select the verification message in the drop-down list. The verification message and the number of relevant messages are displayed on the button and these restrictions are applied to the display.

To display all messages, select All ({0} Messages) in the drop-down list.

The  Repeat button runs the same verification method again on the missing model elements. This allows you to process the messages successively.

If necessary, the verification method can also be run on all model elements originally selected for verification via Repeat>Verify all elements again.

Table of Missing Elements

The model elements for which verification messages are available are displayed in a table beneath the top area.

If you select a missing element then the verification messages for the model element are displayed in the table of verification messages. The Properties, Details and other tool windows provide information about the selected element.

If you select multiple missing elements then you can change common properties in the Properties tool window. You can export the selected elements via the context menu as CSV. You can also see the verification messages for the missing elements here.

Table of Verification Messages

At the bottom of the tool window, the verification messages are listed in a table, with the verification number and type of the model elements selected in the table above, if appropriate.

Using Messages

Select a model element from the table at the top. The associated messages will appear in the table below.

You can use the Go to context commands to jump to the model element and rectify the error there.

You can then do the same with the next model element or update the verification results with  Repeat.
