Result Region Tool Window
Use the Result Region tool window to collect any number of elements to e.g. edit multiple elements in one fell swoop.
Purpose
Use the Result Region tool window to collect any number of elements to e.g. edit multiple elements in one fell swoop.
Structure
- <unnamed>: the column shows the order in which the elements were added to the Result Region
- Name: stereotype icon and Name
- Type: stereotype and element type
- Created: time at which the element was created
- Changed: time at which the element was last modified
- Path: owner starting with the system model
Bold text indicates elements that can be edited in editors (components)
Adding Elements to the Result Region
- Drag-and-drop from other areas
- With context menu command for adding to the Result Region
- With the shortcut keys [Ctrl]+[F]
- With Review>Annotations>Find Annotations>Find Diagrams with Annotations or Model>Verify & Export>Check Model Quality>Find Diagrams with Annotations
Sorting
You can change sorting in the Result Region by clicking on the column heading.
If you then click on the column headings again, the sorting switches up and down.
If you press the [Shift] key, you can click on multiple column headings to change the sorting for all of them in one go.
Removing Elements from the Result Region
- Use the Clear List context menu command to remove all entries from the result region
- Use the Remove from List context menu command to remove the selected entries from the result region
- Use the Delete from Model (Shift+Del) context menu command to list all elements that will be deleted from the model by this action in the dialog of the same name to check and confirm
Using List Content Outside of Innovator
You can export selected list entries as CSV files or copy them to the clipboard in CSV format using commands in the context menu.
Export CSV File... and Copy to the Clipboard as CSV create a short name column if this is visible in the result region.
Export CSV File... additionally creates the column headers.
Further Information
Column positions and widths are saved when you log-out; the columns are sorted the same and have the same width when you next log-in to the same model.
