Bookmarks Tool Window View
The Bookmarks list allows the user quick access to frequently used elements in the current model.
Purpose
The
Bookmarks tool window view can be used for quick access to model elements.
Structure
The bookmarks are in a tree structure.
They refer to the current model and apply to the user logged-in.
Operations
Entries are always sorted alphabetically.
You can use folders to group bookmarks. Drag a bookmark and drop it in the folder to assign it there. Folders are alphabetically sorted.
To see where an element is in the model hierarchy, you can use Go to>Location in Model Structure to jump there.
The header contains the following buttons:
Creates a folder below the selected folder. To create a folder at the top-most level, select a bookmark only at the top-most level or remove all selections. You can only rename folders using F2.
Removes all selected nodes from the bookmark. You can remove all
bookmarks via the context menu.
Makes bookmarks which do not exist in the model visible in managed models. These elements may exist in other versions or may have been deleted by other users.
Shows that you cannot see certain elements, and consequently relevant bookmarks, because of your role.
The input field with the "Browse Bookmarks" placeholder text can be found below the buttons.
You can use this filter for a targeted search of the displayed bookmark. Enter a search term and the list is automatically narrowed to show suitable results.
Creating Bookmarks
All other areas have the Add to Bookmarks command. You can drag elements from most areas and drop them into the list. You can create multiple bookmarks. However, the same bookmark (regardless of its name) can only exist once within a folder.
