Load User Configuration Dialog

Before you select the configuration file in the standard dialog, you determine how to proceed with the loaded user configuration.

Purpose

In this dialog, you define how to proceed with the configuration file to be opened. The configuration file should be based on user groups.

Prerequisites

In order to call the central user management on the main license server in the administration program and use its functions, you must be logged-in to the license server as an administrator or your user must have the Manage Users right (normally as a group member).

Call

Select the User Configuration>Load command from the User Management tab.

The Load User Configuration dialog appears.

After confirming selection of the radio button with OK, the standard dialog for opening the configuration file appears.

Note

An error message appears if the selected XML file does not have the right structure and cannot be loaded.

Structure

The dialog consists of the following elements:

  • Radio Buttons

    • Merge

Groups and users that do not exist are added to the user management. No groups or users are deleted.

    • Replace

The user configuration is replaced in full. Groups and users that are not contained in the configuration file are then no longer available.

  • OK and Cancel standard buttons
