Loading User Configuration
You can load a user configuration and replace current user configuration or merge it to update it.
Prerequisites
In order to call the central user management on the main license server in the administration program and use its functions, you must be logged-in to the license server as an administrator or your user must have the Manage Users right (normally as a group member).
Context
You can use the Users>User Configuration>Load (Ctrl+I) in the Administration Program to open an XML file to merge or replace the information in it with the current user configuration.
The respective XSD file for this can be found under $INODIR/userconfig.xsd.
This allows you to restore user configurations from a back-up or adopt them in another main license server.
After confirming selection with OK, the standard dialog for opening the configuration file appears.
Note
An error message appears if the selected XML file does not have the right structure and cannot be loaded.
How to proceed
-
Select the Users>User Configuration>Load (Ctrl+I) command from the User Management tab.
-
Activate the Merge radio button if you want to merge the current user configuration with the content in the configuration file.
-
Activate the Replace radio button if you want to replace the current user configuration with the content in the configuration file.
-
Confirm the selection with OK.
The Open standard dialog appears.
-
Select the XML file with the user configuration and confirm with Open.
The current user configuration is either merged with the content in the configuration file or replaced with it.
