If you want to use Innovator Office Integration on a computer which does not have Innovator installed, you need to install the Innovator registry entries and icons as well as the Word or Excel add-in.
Prerequisites
License
You need a license to use Innovator Office Integration. The license is included within the scope of delivery of Innovator for Business Analysts, and also within the Enterprise Modeling Suite.
All customers who do not have an Innovator for Business Analysts license need to purchase a license for Innovator Office Integration
Installation
Uninstall any older versions of the add-in you may already have installed. The add-in cannot be used in more than one version at the same time.
Note
Please ensure that you have closed all Word instances currently running before you uninstall an older version of the add-in.
Uninstall an older version of the add-in using the Microsoft uninstall routine in the Windows system control.
The Innovator Office Integration Word add-in requires Microsoft Word (Version 2007 or later), as well as Microsoft Windows 7 (or later).
When installing the add-in for Microsoft Excel, the information applies accordingly.
You need to be connected to an Innovator model and have access to it when editing requirements and use cases in an Innovator model.
Installing Innovator Office Integration
Prerequisites
All Word instances must be closed.
Context
The set-up installs the add-in for Microsoft Word on your computer.
The latest version of Innovator Office Integration can also be downloaded from the MID customer area as an installation package (Office_Integration.zip).
How to proceed

Download the current Innovator Office Integration version in the MID customer area.

Unzip the downloaded installation package.

Run setup.exe on your computer.
The Innovator tab appears in the ribbon once you have installed the Word add-in and started Word. Please read the "Troubleshooting" chapter if the tab does not appear.
Installing the Innovator Registration Entries and Icons
Context
If Innovator is not installed on the computer on which you want to run Innovator Office Integration, then you need to install the Innovator registry entries and icons.
You can find the current version of the runtime libraries for Innovator Office Integration as an installation package (Innovator_Runtime.zip) in the download area of the MID customer area.
How to proceed

Download the current Innovator Runtime version in the MID customer area.

Double-click on Innovator_Runtime.msi.

Enter the license server.
