Troubleshooting
The following may help when troubleshooting.

The Copy (Ctrl+C), Paste (Ctrl+V), Undo and Repeat commands are not supported by the add-in without restrictions. e.g. it is not a good idea to use the Undo command after inserting a requirement in the Word document. If you want to delete this requirement, then select the entire area and click on the Delete button.

- Ensure that you have installed the newest version of the add-in.
- Ensure that you only have one instance of Word open. It is only possible to see the add-in in the first Word instance opened. Word instances that are subsequently opened do not have the add-in tab. If you close an instance with the add-in, this does not mean that it will be carried over to the Word instance that was opened next. Instead, open a new Word and you will see the add-in.
Word sometimes freezes without a button appearing in the Windows taskbar. Use the Windows task manager to check whether Word is running. Select the winword.exe entry in the Processes tab and click on End Process to exit. - Select the Start>Word Options>Add-Ins>Manage "COM-Add-Ins">Go to…>Activate "Innovator Office Integration" menu command in Word.
If you do not see the Innovator Office Integration entry in the list, then the add-in was not installed properly.

- Ensure that the configurator for the requirements stereotype you are using has created templates.
- Ensure that you have selected a valid requirement in Word.
- If you have selected an offline requirement, ensure that you have an anchor and that the model configuration allows creation of requirements and use cases of the configured template's stereotype directly below this anchor.
- If you have selected an offline requirement, check your configuration to ensure that the role you have used to log-in to the model allows creation of new elements below this anchor.

- Ensure that you are dragging a requirement and not another model element. You can only drag requirements and use cases into the Word document.
- Ensure that at least one template for the requirement's stereotype you want to drag is created.
- Ensure that the requirement does not already exist in the Word document.

Innovator Office Integration problems are listed in the log-file.txt file, stored in the %AppData%\MID GmbH\I4MW directory.
