Starting and Closing the Administration Program
The Administration Program requires a running license server and is started in the Innovator program group.
Starting the Administration Program
Prerequisites
As is the case with any other Innovator program, the Administration Program (InnoAdministration.exe) requires a license server that must be running.
Note
However, it is also possible to start the administration program if the license server (INOHOST) is not set, set incorrectly or not running. In this case, a dialog appears. You can change the Innovator environment variables there. This means that you can, for example, enter a correct license server during the normal program start process.
You must be logged-in to the Administration Program as administrator (e.g. of the license server) in order to be able to carry out administrative tasks. If you do not log-in as an administrator, you can only perform a small number of tasks such as determining the host ID for instance.
You do not need to explicitly log-in to the model server or model version in single sign-on mode. Rights required for functions and commands are automatically compared with the user administration upon execution. The tool tips for the commands describes which rights are required for execution.
A requirement for working with Innovator is that a license server is started on the relevant computer. If the license server cannot be accessed, all other Innovator programs will not be able to run.
Context
The Administration Program manages your Innovator services, user configuration for single sign-on and licenses, if you have floating licenses.
You can also organize managed and independent models and carry out easy version management.
