Logging-In and Out as an Administrator

You can use the Administration Program to log-in as administrator for the started license server or model server, depending on what task you wish to perform.

Logging-In as License Server Administrator

Prerequisites

A normal Innovator license.

If you run Innovator with the (automatically-created) demo license it is not necessary to log-in as license server administrator.

There is no password for the Innovator server within the scope of delivery. Assign a password to limit access to license administration.

Attention

Considerable administrative measures will have to be carried out by the MID support team upon loss of the license server password.

Context

You can log-in to the main license server as administrator (license server administrator) to manage licenses in the Administration Program.

How to proceed

Select any license server in the server tree.
Select License>Main License Server>Login.

If you did not assign a password for the license server administrator, then you are logged in as license server administrator and can e.g. assign a password.

If you assigned a password for the license server administrator, then the Login as Administrator at the Main License Server dialog appears.
Enter the password in the License Server Password field.
Close the dialog with OK.

You have now logged-in to the main license server as administrator.

A key icon appears in the status bar.

Logging-In as Repository Administrator

Context

Log-in to a started model server as an administrator to manage a repository. You only require an appropriate model server rule to log-in with single sign-on; otherwise, you require the repository administrator password.

The following description refers to non-single sign-on repositories which require a password.

You can log-in to various running model servers as repository administrator and log-out from them individually again.

Multiple repository administrator logins are possible. IIf a repository administrator is already logged-in and cannot log-out (computer crashed, not available), then it is possible for another repository administrator to log-in.

How to proceed

Select the repository's model server in the server tree.
Select Model>Model Server>Login.
If you assigned a password for the repository then enter it.
Close the dialog with OK.

You are now logged-in to the repository as administrator.

A key icon appears in the server tree next to the model server of the repository.

Logging-Out as Administrator

Context

The following description refers to model servers on non-single sign-on repositories which require a password.

How to proceed

Select any license server or model server which you want to log-out from as administrator.
Select License>Main License Server>Logout or Model>Model Server>Logout.

You are now logged-out as an administrator of the main license server or the repository respectively.
