Creating a New Action in the Activity
Actions are the smallest executable element within an activity.
Context
Actions are the smallest executable element within an activity. This document initially only uses actions of the Generic Action type; with this type, what should happen as a result of the action is described as text.
Use the tool tips for the various action types in the Design>Create Diagram Contents gallery to find out more about these types.
You can assign actions to an activity area by way of appropriate positioning within the area.
How to proceed
-
Position the mouse pointer at your chosen position in the activity frame and select the
Execute statement template from the mini toolbar in the context menu.
A new action is created in the diagram. The name of the action is automatically selected to be edited.
-
Enter the name for the action and confirm with the [Enter] key.
