Using Presets
You can use presets to save and load root elements, filter settings and reference time so that they can be reused in the Align Models editor.
Saving a Default
Prerequisites
The Align Models editor is opened.
Context
Save the current settings for the left-hand and right-hand root elements, change sets or searches, element filters and reference time as a preset for the Align Models editor with a meaningful name.
Restriction
No presets can be saved for model files.
How to proceed

Define the left-hand and right-hand root elements, the change sets and searches, as well as the settings in the Filter ribbon group and set the reference time for reuse in Merge mode.

Select Align Models>Compare>Presets.
The dialog of the same name appears.

Click on
.
The New Preset dialog appears.

Enter a name or use the proposal with the repository and model name of the right-hand model and the time stamp as the name.

Confirm the name with OK.
The preset is stored and shown in the list.
Loading a Default
Prerequisites
The Align Models editor is opened.
Context
Load the presets for left-hand and right-hand comparison of root models, selected change sets or searches, element filters and reference time, if applicable.
Alternatively, select and load a preset in the Presets dialog.
How to proceed

Select the preset which you want to use in the Align Models>Compare>Presets submenu.
The preset is loaded and displayed in the Align Models editor.
Defining a Preset as a Menu Item or Autostart
Prerequisites
The Align Models editor is opened.
Context
You can define which presets are displayed as a menu item in the ribbon and which preset is loaded automatically when the Align Models editor is opened.
How to proceed

Select Align Models>Compare>Presets.
The dialog of the same name appears.

If you want the name of a preset to appear as a menu item in Align Models>Compare>Presets, activate the check box in the Menu Display column.

To automatically load a preset when the Align Models editor is opened, activate the check box in the Autostart column.

Click on Close.
The settings are applied.
Deleting a Default
Prerequisites
The Align Models editor is opened.
Context
You can delete presets.
How to proceed

Select Align Models>Compare>Presets.
The dialog of the same name appears.

Select the preset.

The preset is deleted.
