Configuring the Details Tool Window

In the configuration editor, you can define the information displayed in the Details tool window.

Information Structure

You can use the Details Configuration node in the Documentation Structures view in the configuration editor to set the information to be shown in the Details tool window for each profile. This is separate for each element type.

No more than one Details Configuration root node can be created per profile.

Detail window configuration is distributed to the technical profiles and parts which are the same for the various profiles are stored in the ROOT profile. The same applies for Details building blocks.

A node exists for each element type as a structure point in the structure trees. These nodes specify which information is contained in the details window.

You can use the structure, therefore, to specify what degree of information should be included in the display. This structure is independent from the actual model data. Information from the model is first displayed when the display is refreshed, corresponding to the structure.

Tidying the Details Configuration

The Details configuration should be tidied to make it easier to view and maintain. You can search for and e.g. merge duplicate entries.

The verify option "Details configuration corresponds with 'Name' [VFY553]" always considers all existing profiles and does not concentrate on existing profile imports. It evaluates the Details configuration at all levels and components. A message appears if corresponding Details configurations exist.

You should check whether you can merge duplicate configurations into a common imported profile.
