Switch Role Dialog

Change the user's role.

Context

Different parts of a large Innovator model are generally edited by different roles. This ensures that modelers do not make changes in areas they are not responsible for.

You need to select a role which has the appropriate access to edit model elements. Newly-created model elements are given access for the role you are working in.

The list of roles that can be selected contains all user roles which the model administrator has assigned to your user account.

How to proceed

Select the new role by double-clicking on it or select the role and click on the OK button.
You can also switch roles in the status bar. Clicking on the field with the role opens a list.

You can then continue to work with the authorizations assigned to the selected role.

Note:

This command is only available in the Enterprise edition.
You must be logged-in as a user.Model Administrator and Guest do not have roles.
