Rename Model Dialog

The command for renaming an Innovator model is only available in the Private Cloud (Network of your Organization). Please note the naming conventions for files when assigning a name.

Prerequisites

You require model administrator rights to access the command for renaming an Innovator model.

The command is only available in the Private Cloud (Network of your Organization).

You can use the Model>Save as command to store names for local models or rename operating system levels if these are not open.

Context

Please note the naming conventions for files when assigning a name. For example, the following special characters are not allowed: /\:*?"<>!

The model name makes up part of a model reference; this means that existing references to elements of this model no longer work once renamed.

You can only rename the model currently opened using this command.

How to proceed

Select Model>Administrative Tasks>Rename Model.

The dialog of the same name appears.
Enter the new name of the model in the Rename to field.
Click on Rename.

The dialog is closed. The model is renamed. The new name appears in the status column.
