Saved Source/Target Element Presets Dialog

Saving and loading presets in the Mapping editor for source and target elements.

Purpose

The Saved Source/Target Element Presets dialog enables you to store settings made in the Mapping editor and load them as defaults in a later session.

Opening the Dialog

Prerequisites

You are in the Mapping editor.

Context

You want to open the dialog either to save your settings in the Mapping editor or to load saved settings.

How to proceed

  • Select Mapping>Map Model>Presets.

    The Saved Source/Target Element Presets dialog appears.

Saving a Default

Prerequisites

You are in the Saved Source/Target Element Presets dialog.

Context

You want to save your settings for the source and target elements as a template in the Mapping editor so you can use them at a later stage.

How to proceed

  1. Click on the Add button.

    The New preset dialog appears.

    A timestamp is shown as name specification in the dialog.

  2. In the text box, enter the name with which you want to store the preset. Confirm the name with OK.

    The New preset dialog is closed and the preset added appears as an item in the list.

  3. Click on the Close button.

    The dialog is closed and you return to the Mapping editor.

Loading a Default

Prerequisites

You are in the Saved Source/Target Element Presets dialog.

Context

You want to load a stored default.

How to proceed

  1. Select the entry you want from the list of presets.
  2. Click on Load.

    The dialog is closed and you return to the Mapping editor. Elements of the loaded default are shown in its source and target areas if they exist in the model.

Deleting a Default

Prerequisites

You are in the Saved Source/Target Element Presets dialog.

Context

You want to remove a stored default.

How to proceed

  1. Select the entry you want from the list of presets.
  2. Click on  Delete.

    The default is removed.

  3. Click on the Close button.

    The dialog is closed and you return to the Mapping editor.
