Referencing views are used for showing customized views of an existing process or collaboration. Remove single elements from a referencing view and show the removed elements again.
Prerequisites
The process or collaboration respectively is already modeled in a diagram, i.e. a definition already exists.
How to proceed
Drag the existing process and/or collaboration from the model contents or another tool window and drop it in the diagram you have just created.
The process and/or collaboration is shown in the diagram and has the
icon.
In the case of a collaboration: if one of the collaboration's participants already includes a process, this process is also shown as a referencing view.
Prerequisites
A collaboration's referencing view can only be removed if it does not contain any participants with a defining view of a process.
How to proceed
Press the [Del] key or select Design>Editing>Remove from Diagram.
The element is removed from the view. If applicable, existing edges to other elements are also removed.
If a process or collaboration was selected, the complete referencing view will be removed.
Context
Elements removed from a referencing view can be shown again.
How to proceed
Select Design>Display>Relationships (Ctrl+Shift+R) and select the edges which you want to show.
How to proceed
Select Process View>Show all details or Collaboration View>Show all details in the context menu.
The referencing view shows all paths. Any changes made to the layout are realigned with the definition.
Context
Contradictions between definitions and referencing views of a process can be resolved. This action does not show hidden elements or align the layout to match the definition.
How to proceed
Select Process View>Resolve Contradictions in the context menu.
Contradictions are resolved.
