Deleting from the Model

The Delete from Model dialog shows which elements will be deleted and which, if any, cannot be deleted; this enables the user to decide whether the deletion should take place or not.

Purpose

The dialog always appears if elements should be deleted from the model. The dialog does not appear if elements are to be removed from the diagram.

The dialog shows a list of elements to be deleted. This may mean that the list not only contains the selected elements but also other elements, as these elements can no longer exist if the selected elements are deleted. These can be e.g. edges which are attached to the elements to be deleted or elements which have the element to be deleted as owner.

Not all elements are shown if you have lots to be deleted. If this is the case, the last entry in the list is the "..." wildcard.

It may be the case that elements cannot be deleted. These are then shown in a second list.

Select an element.
Select Start>Edit>Delete from Model or Delete from Model in the context menu;
