This dialog is used for configuring database connections.These are shown as pre-allocations in the Select Database dialog.
The list of database connections already configured is shown in the list on the left-hand side.
The fields on the right-hand side are filled accordingly if you click on one of the database connections.
If you change the connection name shown, the New button is activated and the Change button becomes inactive.
You can now create a new database connection.
Driver name: The Java class which enables access to RDBMS.
Driver file: Possible Java class path extension.
Database type: The type of database.
Connection header: RDBMS-specific connection prefix.
Server name: The address or name of the computer RDBMS is running on.
Port name: The port RDBMS gets JDBC access for.
Integrated security: ID for use of user data for the user logged-in to the operating system.
User name: The user to be used to access the database.
Password: The user's password.
Database name: RDBMS-specific form of database name.
Schema name: RDBMS-specific form of schema name.
Test: Use to test whether the data entered can be made into a database connection.
New: Use to store a new database connection.The button is activated once you modify an existing database connection in the Connection name field.
Delete: Use to delete a selected database connection.
Change: Use to modify an existing database connection.The button is activated once a database connection is selected and at least one field (not Connection name) is modified.
Close: Use to close the dialog without saving any changes made to the fields.
