The Transformer tool is used for transforming repositories into a new Innovator version.
Purpose
You can use the Transformer tool (inotrans.exe) to transform your repositories into the current Innovator version. The project directory from the previous version is used by default as the source directory for the data to be transformed. By default, the current project directory is used as the target directory.
You can transform data repositories. During the transformation, all automatically executable adjustments and - if necessary - corrections are made.

Prerequisites
The transformation takes place for the repositories that you want to reuse in the current Innovator version.
The transformation can be performed once:
- The current Innovator version has been installed
- The current main license server is running
- The repositories (model servers) to be transformed have been closed in the previous versions
Structure
The Transformer tool consists of the main dialog for selecting data type, transformer source and target, as well as the selection dialog for the source and target directory.
You can choose from the following data types:
- Data repositories (repositories with one or more models)
- Model versions (all models under version management in the project directory)
If you select a sub directory under \inoprj as source directory, then this is automatically adopted as target directory.
You can also display the version of the tool.
