Changing the Size of a Diagram Using the Mouse Wheel
Context
You can use the Options dialog box to set the Mouse Wheel Effect in Diagrams in the Mouse tab. You can set whether you have to press the [Ctrl] key to zoom the diagram.
How to proceed

Place the mouse pointer in the diagram where you want to change the size.

Move the mouse wheel forwards if you want to zoom the diagram and backwards if you want to make it smaller.
Magnifying the Diagram for Small Zoom Factors
Context
There are two options to show a diagram area as magnified if the diagram has a small zoom factor (less than 66%):
How to proceed

Press the middle mouse button anywhere in the diagram to zoom a diagram area to 100%.
The area where the mouse pointer is is zoomed to 100%. The whole document window is used for showing the diagram.

To show a screen magnifier, click on [Ctrl]+[F11] to activate lens mode; this shows the area the mouse is pointing on in a window (size 400 x 400 pixels) at 100 %.
You can switch this mode off by pressing [Ctrl]+[F11] or [Esc] again or by zooming out to 66%.
Changing the Size of a Diagram in the Status Bar and Using Shortcut Keys
Context
You can change the size of the diagram in the status bar on the right using the buttons or slider.

Changing the Size of a Diagram Using the Diagram Overview Tool Window
Context
You can drag the frame with the mouse to make the diagram section bigger or smaller in the Diagram Overview tool window. Depending on the size of the frame, the diagram is zoomed in or out.
How to proceed
Use the mouse to drag a frame in the Diagram Overview tool window which contains the desired diagram section.
The corresponding diagram section is shown fully in the document area.

Context
Open the Zoom dialog by clicking on the 
dialog box launcher in the Zoom menu group or on the current zoom factor in the status bar.
