Change Password Dialog

Change the password of the user logged-in.

Purpose

Your own password is changed when logging-in as a user.

The model administrator's password is changed when logging-in as the model administrator.

Note

This dialog cannot be accessed when logging-in as Guest. The Guest password can only be assigned in the configuration editor or administration program.

Prerequisites

The Change Password dialog is only available in the Enterprise edition.

You must be logged-in as a user or model administrator.

Call

This dialog appears once you click on the Model>Administrative Tasks>Change Password command.

Input

Enter the previous password in the Old Password field. This is used as authentication and prohibits access of undesired third parties.

Enter the new password in the New Password field.

The new password needs to be entered again in the Repeat Password field; this is done to avoid spelling mistakes. If the color of the password fields is the same, the passwords are identical.

Click on the OK button to adopt the changes. Remember the new password.

Note

A user password is not used if you have a single sign-on repository.

Note

If you forget your password the model administrator can reset it in the user management in the configuration editor or administration program. The model administrator password itself cannot be reset if forgotten.
