The top section shows which step you are currently in; from the second step onwards it also has an active back button you can click on to go back a step.
The middle section shows you the input and selection options; making a selection will jump you directly to the next step if applicable.
The bottom section contains the [Next] (if the selection does not automatically jump to the next step) or Finish and always the [Abort] button.
Step 1 of 4: Select the documentation contents
You can create documentation which contains all or partial information from a model at a particular development state. This wizard takes you through the processes of creating documentation step-by-step.
You can select the documentation as initial content:

Only the active document is initially added to the documentation, i.e. the document (diagram, table or specification) currently visible in the application's document area.
The name of the active document is shown in the wizard.

All diagrams and tables currently open in the application's document area are initially added to the documentation.
The number of the active documents is shown in the wizard.

Only the model elements which were selected in the application's active window when calling the documentation wizard are initially added to the documentation.
Once you select a model element, it name is then shown in the wizard. The number is shown if more than one model element is selected.

The model elements that you specify in the next step (regardless of the current selection in the dialog) by activating the corresponding check boxes in the Documentation Creation Wizard dialog are initially added to the documentation. The selection in the application's active window is ignored.

All the model's model elements are initially added to the documentation.
The content is initial content as a search can be configured for selection specification in the documentation command to be selected.
Step 2 of 4: Select a documentation command
Settings for chapter structure, output format, headers, footers etc. to be used for documentation generation were saved in your model configuration as documentation commands. You need to decide on one of these in this step.
The standard documentation commands are linked to the selection extension with the Package Contents Recursive search and find the respective recursive package content of the selected model elements. The search is stored in the $INODIR/inoref file.
Step 4 of 4: Ready for documentation generation
The documentation generation wizard summarizes all decisions made by you before the actual documentation generation starts.
You can change these decisions made by pressing the back button to return to the previous steps.
Start generation by clicking on the Finish button.
