Host Identification Dialog

Purpose

Your Innovator installation licensing has been specially designed for your license server computer. In order to have a unique identification of this computer, you must determine a special character string: host identification.

You should send this along with your order for products, programming languages, profiles and add-ons to MID GmbH.

Prerequisites

You are in the Standalone Servers tab in the Administration Program.

You must be logged-in as a license server administrator.

You first need to install Innovator in the version you want to request the licenses for. If you do not do this, host identification will be invalid and the license repository will not be accepted for the license server computer.

Call

Select License>Main License Server>Host Identification to open the dialog.

Some fonts contain characters that can hardly be distinguished from each other (e.g., 1, l and I). It is therefore advisable to send the host identification immediately to MID in an e-mail.

E-mail transfer may be supported by an automatic e-mail function in your system. In that case, the only thing you need to do is to select the Send command. This way you can easily avoid any kind of misunderstanding.

Structure

The dialog consists of the following elements:

• Display field for the message text

  The displayed text is copied to the e-mail. You cannot edit it in the display field, only select and copy it.

• E-Mail button

  Copies the message text to an e-mail to MID GmbH order processing.

• Close button

Effect

An e-mail to MID GmbH order processing with the message text from the display field is created with your system's standard e-mail application.

Add information to the e-mail as required, particularly your order and sender information.

Send the e-mail to auftragsbearbeitung@mid.de.

Alternatively, send the information to the address below. If you choose to use the traditional postal service, make sure that the host ID reference can be clearly read.

Based on this, MID GmbH will generate a computer-specific license repository and send it back to you.

The license administrator can now activate the licenses on the main license server.
