Modifying Templates
You can change an existing template or save a template as a new template.
Prerequisites
Ensure you are logged-in to the Innovator model you want to change a template for and that you have configuration rights.
How to proceed

Select the requirement in the Word document which contains the template you want to change.

Select the command Edit existing template in the Configurations group.
The Create elements template tab appears in the tool window.

Edit the template.
The lists of labels and values only shows fields that do not appear in the template you are currently editing.

Drag any number of fields and drop them in the document and, in doing so, add the template.

To remove the field, delete it just as you would normal text.
The values and labels that were deleted in the document appear in the lists in the tool window.

If you leave the area for editing templates, a message appears asking you if you want to save your changes.
It is not possible to carry on working outside of the template while you are editing it. if you save the changes, edit mode is closed.

If you do not change the name of the template, the old template it overwritten.

To create a new template with the changes you have made, enter a new name in the Elements Template Name field. If you enter a name that is already in use, the old template is overwritten.

To explicitly save your changes and leave edit mode, click on the Save elements template button.
