Customizing Model Transformations Included within Scope of Delivery

The document describes how to customize a transformation included within the scope of delivery in the M2M-SDK configuration editor. The document is based on the M2M configurator and SDK developer.

Using Customer Mode

Please use customer mode to ensure that your changes made to model transformations included within the scope of delivery will not be lost due to any Innovator updates which may occur.

You can (de)activate customer mode in the File menu. The menu bar is highlighted to show that customer mode is activated.

Customizations to configuration elements included within the scope of delivery (workflow and model transformation) are saved in the file given in the "Customer" option when in customer mode. Customer mode is deactivated when editing your own model customizations.

Please use customer mode when separately saving customized options. The options are then stored in the file entered in the "CustomerOption" option.

Customizing a Model Transformation Included within the Scope of Delivery

Prerequisites

You have the Configure privilege and know the model transformation you want to adapt to suit your corporate identity.

Context

Customizations made to suit your corporate identity allow you to profit from the model transformations included within scope of delivery and implement your own specific requirements.

Note

The files with the adapted configuration are saved in the $INOHOME directory.

Please copy the files into the $INODIR directory so that they can be used by the mapping.

Please distribute the files into the $INODIR directory of any other user or on any other computer that may wish to use the mapping.

How to proceed

Select the mapping in the Extras>Map Model>Mapping which you want to customize.

The Mapping editor appears.
Select Mapping>Map Model>Configuration.

The M2MSDK's configuration editor appears with the selected mapping. Please make sure that the application is running in customer mode.
Carry out eh changes you require in the Flow Control and Model Transformation tabs.
Jump to the Customer Modifications tab to summarize and describe your changes made to the tasks.
Select the File>Save command in the Customer Modifications tab to save your customizations.

The file with the adapted mapping is saved in the $INOHOME directory.
Carry out the changes you wish to make in the Options tab.
Select the File>Save command in the Options tab to save changes made to options.

The file with the adapted options is saved in the $INOHOME directory.
Select File>Exit to close the configuration interface.

You can run the customized mapping in the model editor.
