Using the Configuration Editor
All of a model's configuration elements are displayed and edited in the Configuration Editor.
Innovator provides a Configuration Editor for displaying and editing all configuration elements in a model. In addition to the actual profile definition (in the sense of UML 2), this includes, for example, display properties such as colors and fonts, dynamic menus for individual diagram types, engineering actions, verification routines and documentation structures.
You can also manage the users, their roles and rights, as well as user and guest logins to models in the Configuration Editor.
You can use the Configuration Editor for creating and editing profiles and their profile elements (stereotypes, stereotype properties etc.). You can use drag-and-drop in the editor to easily assign elements. If you want to examine or edit an Innovator model's configuration, you can gain access to the underlying profiles in the Configuration Editor. You can carry out all basic configuration tasks there:
- Find information about the structure and properties of your model's profiles
- Navigate to the various profile elements
- Create or modify profile elements
- Assign profile elements to the profile structure
- Configure documentation commands
- Set how model elements look in the diagrams
- Check the configuration
- Load or save profiles as base templates or add-ons (login as model administrator required)
- Manage users and their roles in a model's user management
- Grant or withdraw privileges via roles in a model's user management
- Configure the Details view in the Details tool window
